Centralize Your Notes
Keep all of your notes to yourself in a single place, whether it's in an organizer, a notebook, or on your computer or handheld organizer. Resist the urge to write notes and lists without first grabbing your organizer or notebook ——you'll save yourself the stress and frustration of trying to find your notes later.

I have done this for years with a Ampad Gold Fiber notebook. I log conversation notes, tasks, ideas,...everything. When its time to go to a new notebook, I write on the cover the start date of the notebook and the last date of the last entry and I file it. This is very handy in case you ever have to recall a phone conversation or something.
